The smell of popcorn and candy apples filled the air on Saturday, September 26th as the Campus Activities Board (CAB) celebrated the annual Fall Festival outside on Hagan Lawn on the grounds of Assumption College.
Fall Festival, a “student and family favorite” is held every year during CAB’s Family Weekend. The event, open to both students and their families, was a free opportunity for families to come together and spend some time together away from home. The Festival including fair foods like cotton candy and caramel apples, and inflatable bungee courts and basketball nets.
Additionally, they offered give-aways to attendees, like pumpkin painting, photo keychains, and sand art, allowing both students and families the chance to take something tangible home to commemorate the Festival.
Junior Jenna Stringfellow, CAB’s Family Weekend Entertainment executive called the weekend a success. “It [Fall Festival] turned out better than I expected,” Stringfellow commented. “I am thrilled with how things turned out!”
Indeed it was an afternoon many families will cherish, and another successful event hosted by CAB.
