Senate race in Massachusetts

by: Courtney Rickert

On November 4th, 2014, Massachusetts voters will be casting their votes in U.S Senate contest.

Senator Ed Markey is running for re-election with the hopes of completing his first full term in office. In the primary elections on September 9th, Markey was an unopposed Democratic nominee.  Check out his campaign video:

In the upcoming November 4th election, Markey will be running against Republican candidate Brian Herr. Herr was interviewed recently on the election:

Polls show Markey with a clear advantage on Herr.  Also, Massachusetts has three times more registered, Democratic voters than Republican voters, so the Republican will need to count on votes from a group with the largest political affiliation in MA…the un-enrolled or independents.
